Information regarding the speaking engagements which took place in April 2013.
The topics covered in each event will include:
- Wills– Wills are the cornerstone of an estate plan. It should name your executor, guardian of minor children and a trustee. A will avoids probate court by stating who inherits, what and when they inherit from your estate.
- Trusts– Trusts create an entity that holds assets for the benefit of something or someone; ranging from minor children, to pets, to organizations. Trusts help minimize estate taxes and prevent probate.
- Power of Attorney– A power of attorney document grants another person to act as a financial representative in the event that the Grantor becomes disabled, or incapable of managing their affairs.
- Advanced Healthcare Directives– An advanced healthcare directive is also known as a living will. It combines a healthcare power of attorney in the event that the Grantor is unable to make decisions and instructions regarding end of life medical treatment such as life support, feeding tubes, and comatose.
